My name is Quinn Bailey and this is my consulting agency for IT Strategy & Operations, DevOps & Software Engineering
My focus is on the interfaces between people and digital platforms—between scientists and computational science solutions, between your engineering teams and critical infrastructure, between technical systems and business outcomes. Over 20 years, I've worked as a software engineer, DevOps architect, and cloud infrastructure lead for organizations ranging from large enterprises to biotech startups.
I started my career building cross-platform build automation software and CI/CD systems, before moving into DevOps consulting for Fortune 500 clients as they began to adopt the cloud. From there I progressed to building cloud infrastructure at OpenEye Scientific Software, scaling their Orion Molecular Design Platform from beta deployments to hundreds of thousands of servers, generating many millions in annual revenue along the way. I then architected cloud-first IT strategy for Treeline Biosciences, building hybrid cloud infrastructure that supports cloud-native drug discovery systems while meeting rigorous compliance and data management requirements.
My software engineering background shapes how I approach DevOps. I write code to automate infrastructure, build deployment pipelines, and solve integration challenges. I understand the developer experience because I've lived it. That perspective is critical when designing CI/CD systems, container orchestration, or cloud-native architectures that actually work for the teams using them.
